Dining Service Aide

Location: Ypsilanti, MI

The Gilbert Residence provides basic nursing care to 32 residents. Supportive Living, Assisted Living and Specialized Dementia care to 40 residents. We carry a long tradition of excellence by providing compassionate and dignified care.

The Dining Service Aide performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dining Service Department and is accountable to the Director of Dining Service. Our residents always come first and this crucial role helps maintain the health and happiness of all our residents and employees.

This position is a swing shift - availability of both mornings and afternoons is needed.

DUTIES

Include, but are not limited to:

• Provide assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of meals
• Assist in serving meals and taking resident meal orders
• Setting up and cleaning dining rooms
• Follow established policies and procedures and insure safety of food and cleanliness in accordance to state and federal laws
• Wash and store dishes
• General cleaning duties

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Graduate (preferred)
• One (1) plus years of experience preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability understand/take directions
• Ability to lift 50lbs
