Charge Nurse- Part Time Midnights

Part Time Midnights (11:00pm-7am)

Five shifts per pay period, including every other weekend

The Gilbert Residence has been proudly serving seniors in our community since 1960. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional care to 90 residents in our Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Nursing Care units.

Our mission is to continue a tradition of excellence by providing compassionate and dignified care for seniors in our community.

The Nurse provides direct, primary nursing care to residents. Delegates and supervises the care provided by the certified nursing assistants for a designated shift. The Nurse is responsible for working in a coordinated effort with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Unit Manager to maintain the smooth function of the nursing unit in accordance with policies, procedures, as well as state and federal laws.

DUTIES

(include but are not limited to)

- Report to DON/Unit Manager

- Evaluate and report resident status

- Communicate and coordinate care with professionals, residents and families

- Administer treatments and provide other direct care

- Accurately prepare and administer medications as prescribed

- Collect specimens as ordered

- Provide direct supervision, instruction, and education to certified nursing assistants

- Uphold, enforce and protect resident rights

QUALIFICATIONS

- Current MI RN License or MI LPN License

- At least one (1) of experience (preferred)

- Excellent customer service skills

- Good communication skills

- Computer proficiency required

- Must be reliable

- Must have weekend availability
